Top 5 Natural Hair Care Products by Tanessa Burch

Hey Girl Hey! Are you practicing social distancing? Is your hair upset behind it? Chile, I understand. Being Natural is intense without a pandemic. Don’t worry, we will get through.

I am sharing my favorite five natural hair care products and why I love them.

In the words of Insecure (season 1&2), "We Got Y’all!"

FYI: You can click the photo for more information on any of the products listed below.

My top Pre-Poo is hands down brought to you by The Mane Choice from the Heavenly Halo Collection. Pre-poo is designed to soften and help detangle your hair before wash. Ready to take down those braids or your weave, start here! It also helps you reduce shedding.

My top shampoo is Camille Rose Naturals “Clean Rinse: This is my favorite because it both a moisturizing and clarifying shampoo. It cleans your hair without stripping it from its natural oils. I have also enjoyed that this product works well throughout my current LOC journey. This means you don’t need to use two separate shampoos. Camille Rose Naturals is founded by Janelle Stephens. It also helps that she is vegan which means that her products have the best ingredients within.

Leave in Conditioner is a staple for all hair care. In my case, I have 3c/4a fine hair. This means I don’t need to use heavy products and less is actually more. I found Quench from Aunt Jackie’s about 5 years into my natural journey. I opted to use just this and oil and I was beyond impressed. This leave in was more than a leave in. It acted as both my leave in and my styling product. My curls were defined, has shine for days and looked juicy. Did, I mention that this smells like love in a bottle.

Oil. We all know that all hair oil is not created equally. My favorite Hair Oil is brought to you by The Mane Choice, Ancient Egyptian Collection. I wont lie, this oil is on the more expensive side, but it’s worth it. You don’t need much and it truly absorbs and strengthens your hair. It is a heavier oil so I recommend you use this on styles that you want to leave untouched for a while. It also smells great and can be used on all hair types.

The final. This is hard because I actually have a few styling products that I absolutely love. Mielle Organics was my go to company when I first big chopped and I have kept them in my arsenal every since. The entire Pomegrante and Collection is bomb. Grab all of the items if you can. If you just need one, select the Curl Smoothie. It is strong enough to act as both a leave in conditioner and a styling product. Its super lightweight and does not flake. It has a ton of moisture and helps to stretch your hair without losing definition.

Honorable Mention:

My favorite deep conditioner is Alikay Naturals Honey & Sage. I loved to leave this overnight and rinse in the morning. My hair would be extremely easy to detangle, and I enjoyed knowing that I was adding natural oil back into my hair. This is thick conditioner so less is more. I believe you receive the most benefits when you allow it to sit on your hair for at least 40 minutes.

I hope this list introduces you to items you haven’t heard of. All can be found in the links above or at your local target. Each company is owned and operated by a woman. Support Women-Owned businesses.
